    Hello all,

took the plunge and became a member after reading post for a while.

Living with my family in Lincolnshire, working as a firefighter in Cambridgeshire and organising the Stafford Spring Garden Show in Staffordshire!

recently moved house and most is left to lawn, would like to grow household vegetables again but probably a project for late 2007 for the 2008 season.

totally a beginner, so looking forward to any advice

    Shaun

Go for it, Shaun! Although I've been gardening for a little while now, I'm a veg beginner - most of us are novices in some field or other, so you're no different :D Welcome, and enjoy being here!

at our previous house I made some square raised beds with railway sleepers and managed runner beans, brocolli, cabbage, carrots, beets, lettuce.

Our Guineapigs and budgies had most of the thining out plants!

I don't think I'll have time this year due to other projects,

however I would like to get the raised beds in place and compost heap started.
