    Hi,

I just joined, so thought I would say hello.
P.s. I noticed a few people say they dont venture out in the weather at the mo. Maybe I am being massachistic but ive been making myself go out and try and get rid of the jungle of weeds that I failed to keep on top of last summer.
I thought if I get a head start this year maybe I might be able to keep on top of the garden this year.
I absolutely can't wait for the spring and am hoping I will find a few bits that can be sown early, indoors maybe.
What are people planning to grow this year? I won a bid on veg seeds on ebay. It was £10 for 18 different ones, not sure how well they will grow though? they were carters.
Anyone else ever tried this route?? I guess I will see if they grow, still in date though!

Hello and welcome my friend,If i go out for too long in this horrible cold i will sieze up like the tin man from wizard of oz! If you have room indoors or a greenhouse there are lots of things that you can begin to grow.

Hello crowley and welcome to GC.

I'm not a veggie growing person myself but there are a lot out there who can give you advice.

    Enjoy the site!

Welcome Val - I too venture out on winter days to get things straight for spring - besides the sight of new things showing brings spring so much closer. The shortest day is gone, new year is past - not long now.

Watch starting seed too early unless you have light boxes - or you'll get weak and spindly seedlings.
