Are you planning on killing off your lawn aswell? If so it looks ok.

I don't know much about weed membrane but the only thing i have every been advised about it is that the cheaper membranes are rubbish and it's usually wise to invest in a more expensive membrane.

Try spraying the lawn with neat vinegar instead. It's harmless, eco-friendly and extremely effective! I just learned about it and have tried it on those pesky weeds that always grow around the gate posts or outside the fence - they were dead and gone in three days! Don't let it spray onto plants though - like chemical weedkiller, it's totally indiscriminate in its action.

Thanks. I don't mind killing lawn, anyway I will replace it after I raise the groun level.
About vinegar - I really like the idea, it seems to be a fast solution. How long should I wait before I can start putting soil on top of the lawn and then turf (total 5 inches)?

Will it kill grass as well? I have more weeds than grass, so don't mind killing both as long as I can restart the lawn quickly after. Does it take a while for grass to start growing again in a vinegar treated area? I am thinking to add 4 inches of top soil and then roll turf on top of it, but don't want the vinegar to kill my new lawn...
