Hi, I've been trawling the net for sites that list roses, preferably with pictures. It started with LoL's plea for the identity of her small flowered red one and has continued with my own quest for the names of some I have but the name tags have long gone.
What I think would be best is a site which allows you to set up your search criteria for
    Colour
    Scent
Type (bush, climber, hybrid tea, hybrid perpetual, gallica etc)
    Size of plant
    Size of flower

Most sites I have found so far allow you to search only on one criteria, like colour or type
about the only one near my list is David Austin Roses, but that is limited to what they stock

The sites I have found so far are

    David Austin search page

click on "rose locator" in left hand column

most have pics, click on photos tab for more pics if available

    Peter Beales in Norfolk

Search by name, type or colour

Can you add any which either improve on these or offer a different approach? The idea being to provide us with a good reliable list of sites.

Another aid to identification would be to have a gallery of photos of as many varieties as possible, with a search facility similar to that on the David Austin site. I have quite a few pics myself just need the software.

Any web designers out there with a good (free)multi criteria search engine?

    Cheers MIKE

Liz, I don't think that's mine. That's a nice site. I'll take another picture of it tomorrow morning when the sun is on it and send it to these folk.

Thanks DF, that's one of the ones I've been using, has quite a large database, but not so easy to search for exactly what you want. Have you found any short cuts to make it easier?
    Cheers MIKE

No not really. I just like all the information they have once you figure out which rose you have. I am almost always searching by name.
