I have a Mme. Carriere and a New Dawn that I want to plant in full sun but the info says put on a North Wall. Will it die on a south wall?

Hi, compost maker. Mine are all North facing also with a pergola and a Lantana hedge on the South side. What I find is that mine "lean" to the North now to get as much light as possible.

I can't imagine they would die on a South wall as they thrive in the open here, even in the long, hot dry summers and bloom throughout our wet, mild winters.

    Good luck with yours.

I've got Madam Alfred Carri©re on a south ish fence going strong, maybe not as strong as it would on a north but good enough for me, our north facing wall is about 2'6" from next door's wall with a concrete path between so no choice.
    Cheers MIKE
