Moving Roses

    Hi to all, Can anyone confirm if I can move established roses and if so - How and When.

    I am also interested in hearing about this as I have 2 roses in my garden and they have great sentimental value... am moving house soon and want to know safest way to move them. Any advice much appreciated

    Depends kinda how "established". Roses tend to have long tap roots, but its doable, witness planting bare root roses, but as I haven't tried it!!! can' t vouch for it, - but as long as its late in the season you take as much root ball as possible and plant in a well prepared hole with as little gap as possible and then keep watered and fed for a good while should work.
