I moved house 4 weeks ago and I have what I think is flowering cherry which is now covered in some sort of white ahpid and it has completely covered the tree and is now dripping sticky gunge. I dont know what it is or how to treat it. Is anyone able to help me please?

Hi Denise and welcome. How big is this tree? I am wondering about the size as it is relevant to the treatment. One thing you can do until we hear more is get some bird feeders and tie them to the branches. Keep them filled and the resultant birds will help to get rid of the creatures.

For a start you could fill a spray bottle with a solution of washing up liquid and spray the whole tree.
Them little aphids don't like that up'm!
