Been a busy girl this weekend, the first event I went to was on Friday evening to see the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at a party in the park event near to us, it was a real coo for the parish council to get such a special orchestra to such a small event (about 200 people according to the paper), they played a lot of songs from the last night of the proms so it was great fun

This is the view from the back of the crowd

and this is Levi Roots, the reggae reggae sauce man from the series Dragon's Den

I also went to a local steam ralley today, pics to follow in the next message (for those who are interested!)

I think it's a great excuse Linda, and how the bloke got up the pole in the first place without having a heart attack is beyond me!

Hi Dizi. Looks like a great fair and no rain! Makes me look forward to the Dorset Steam Fair later in the year. That is a fantastic robot. Did it actually move by remote control or was it a static model?

It moved and talked, I took a (not very good) video, I will try to post it. Some of our lot recon there is a bloke inside but if there was you couldn't see him at all, I found it quite scarey!!

Even if there was someone inside it, it's still a fantastic model. I'd guess that if the operator was using a box of tricks to operate it and it couldn't do anything too complicated it probably is genuine.

I can't make it play but that's not surprising, with my total lack of knowledge of computers. :(

    Oh!

I wonder if someone else would be kind enough to try to see if it's my link that's the problem?

[IMG] Great stuff Dizi good days out and some great pics. Thanks for taking the time and trouble with the video,I am having a go myself.
Was the video taken with a point and shoot digital camera or a video camera?I had trouble uploading with Photobucket, but Imagshack was easy.
