It is possible that the RHS can provide Sponsorship for individuals. You could try here.

Oo really? Hey guys, i'd come back almost as knowledgeable as you lot!

I'm really tempted to apply to the RHS, but i'm quite concerned that i'd be taking the place of a student or someone who it would be more valuable to. :(

As much as i would enjoy it and it would enable me to do much more and learn so much, i'm limited to containers, what if someone else misses out.

    Ee i dont know!

Go for it Whiley - gardening is gardening, whether in containers or acres of land [IMG]

Edited to say that I checked the RHS site and I cannot believe the stuff that I have been missing concerning funding and internships - I had checked the botanics at kew but did not fancy anything there and am not sure I was qualified either but at the RHS I am

Well done lee and thanks - hope your trip works out if you are helping run it or are just going for the fun.

Whiley, I think you need to have a minimum of an NC (national Certificate)for funding, although if you have A good working history and can show an interest in gardening then I think you may have a chance.

You need to start somewhere and the fact that you are on this site says that you have a real interest.

    good luck anyway.
