Having tried, and failed, to get anything from Gardening Express (having to cancel the order since it took forever to not-come) I moved my order to Van Meuwen. However they too lost my order and now I'v waited 20 days for nothing. Now they say its going to be delivered in March which is vague but I understand why they cannot be more specific. Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them.

Its not going well this year; Dobies lost my order as well. Oh dear- hopefully things start picking up soon.

I've heard bad reports about G/Express, but never used them myself. I have recieved half my order from Van Meuwens, very pleased so far. I think it depends what you order as to when it arrives - some of my order isn't coming until April, which is good because I have nowhere to put it!! :D :D

I know what you mean. The pots and spaces earmarked for the VM stuff have been filled twice over. Now I need more pots and compost.

Pleased to hear you are satisfied with what you have received so far. Do they email or write when they have a definite date for delivery? Or is it just the month they give you?

I didn't recieve an e-mail or anything I don't think??? I've ordered so much from so many places it's hard to remember :D I think it goes off the order code on VM(?)The starting letter designates when it will come. So my bare-rooted stuff has already arrived whereas things like Petunias won't come til the end of this month.

I know what you mean about pots - can't get enough of them!!! Been doing lots of pots seen as the garden's like a swamp at the mo!! [IMG]

Having now received most of my order from VM I am very disappointed. Nowhere in the descriptions for the plants do they state they are bare root and the size and quality are pitiful. Amazing I could have saved myself money on the orange and lemon trees by going to B&Q!

Ah well, you have to try things in order to learn form things.

Hi guys, never had any trouble with V.Meuw. I ordered an apple tree and it turned up. I also ordered some Fuschias at the same time and they turned up a little later. the Fuschias came as plugs and they're all sitting in small pots waiting to be planted out. Know what you mean about lack of pots!

Yes, I placed an order with VM about three years ago, and was most disappointed. The plants were several days in transit, and were more or less dead when they arrived. Those that did survive were not of good quality, and I've not since had any dealings with yhe firm.
