We had them in Italy around '79 and I used to love playing with them.

Old age is a state of mind. :old:

Aches and pains are another matter. :hehe:

I retired nine years ago and said I would take up golf. I haven't had time to do that yet. So, I get aches and pains but they don't stop me from doing things. I just take longer to do them and do a lot less in one go :).

I remember the old Chinese saying about old age. "If you wake up in the morning and you have no aches or pains - your dead!!!" :hehe:

If I had bits of me that started to wear out and could be replaced I'd have them done as soon as possible. I've always wanted to be the Bionic Man. :D

Once again I have to reiterate (haha old age but I know I'm repeating!) , you lot on here are brilliant. I asked my 67 year old husband recently if I kept him young (stop thinking like that:o) and I knew the answer really! Although not as fit as half as you seem on here, we get through each day one way or another.

We'd love to have the diy skills but never have and, like has been said, are very wary of being ripped off. Never was taught anything earlier regarding house/garden care & I think that's such a shame. My parents should have Made Me! Of course they didn't, and wouldn't have, but I wish I'd have taken more notice then.

I agree you are as old as you feel. Unfortunately, some of us feel old/older and can't do what we want but with friends like you all on here we get lots of help. Thank you.

    cheers

I feel pretty old first thing in the morning.

I remember many years ago a radio interview with Colin Welland the actor/writer.
He said; "Once you get to forty, when you wake up in the mornings, the first thing you contemplate is suicide."

I've never quite felt like that, but I know what he meant.
