    Hi Mondo,

Moving trees is best done in the autumn, when the tree isn't fully invested in the transportation of water and nutrients around its system. Once it starts to get cool, but before any frosts, dig the tree out and transport it to your desired location. You should dig outside the spread of the crown and as far down as you can to capture as much of the root system as possible. Once transplanted make sure you keep the tree well watered, but not waterlogged. As evergreen's don't fully shut down for the winter there is a risk of dessication, so just keep an eye on it. Give it plenty of feed also to compensate for any nutrient deficiency in the soil.
