I just don't know how you could consider eating them roders....not without searing 'em to seal in the juices at least [IMG]

Does anyone anywhere eat slugs? As they're very similar to snails I don't see why not, but it's curious that snails are considered [by some!] to be OK but slugs not...is there a new market here for the likes of Hugh Fearnly- Whittingstall?
    Yuk.....

Know something, will never ever be taken in like that again, you know when you have something in your head from a posh restaurant, i never imajined i would be eating snails off the hills of course i should of known being in the hills at the time and also when i was eating them i threw a few over the fence when she wasnt looking and also put some in my bag as she did loads of them.
I did eat at least 15 as she was near me saying how are they, what could i do as she had gone out of her way to pick them for me, that will learn me to keep my mouth shut he he [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Rosa, i have just laughed out loud at your last post with regards to throwing the snails over the fence and putting them in your handbag. Especially the bit where the woman kept coming over and asking if they were ok. I've got a mental picture of it all happening in my head.
Had to read it out loud to my bf as i think he thought i was going mad, laughing my head off at a computer screen!

Thank you for making me laugh!! :D :D :D

As for the rest of you....oh my word the thought of eating a slug......uuuurrrghh!

I agree with you, Pea, it conjures up all sorts of visions of Rosa. When did you remember to take them out, Rosa, when you got back to England? :D :D

I heard or read something once that it's no good throwing snails over walls or hedges because they have a homing instinct and will just come back ... I don't know how much of an old wives' tale that is, but I took heed and used to throw my into the field across the lane when I lived there ... just to be safe :D :D
