Fantastic pics LOL - that Morning Glry is an amazing colour, even if it is a nuisance [IMG]

    Hi, LoL!

Looks from my ID guides as if broad-leaved Lathyrus isn't found in Iberia - so looks like the narrow-leaved one it just has to be....

Will unripe pods produce viable seed?? Haven't tried it, but ah hae ma doots! Worth a go, I suppose! Nothing ventured, & all that!

Edit: Just done some more digging and turned up a sweet pea species which my French handbook calls "Lathyrus sylvestris" - looks the right colour and flowers at the right period - so that may be it.... Perhaps!!!

And that beach painting looks like it could be Llangennith?

Guess you're talking about the one at Odeceixe(did I spell that correctly?) on the West Coast, Kaytutt?

Whatever, I take that as a compliment, thank you. [IMG]

    Sorry I'm confused now lol

You posted a picture of a gower beach that you had taken a long time ago that was near your birth place? The beach looks like the beach at Llangenith village on the Gower peninsula.

I live about 15 miles from the Gower peninsula [IMG]

I'm not sure where Odeceixe is though?

Hi, Kaytutt. Sorry, it's me. You are 100% correct, I posted a photo I took and had transferred to canvas of the Gower Pensinsula. I can't remember exactly where it was.

    Lucky you! [IMG]

Odeceixe is on the West Coast of Portugal and I had just painted a picture of it and it's in LoL's Leisure. I'm just about to post a re-work of Capelinhos Volcano on Faial, A§ores.

Er... whoops! L. sylvestris IS the narrow-leaved species!!! [IMG] Why don't I check ALL the books? [IMG] Which means that unless you've got a southern European Everlasting Pea - Narrow-leaved Everlasting Pea it is! [IMG]

So there! Will send the techie details and you can check!

It's been almost a year since I visited here ... but I have had a wander on the lane and these are some of the current wildflowers blooming there and in places in my garden.

I think I've ID'd them correctly but please feel free to let me know if I have something wrong.

Lovely photos LOL once again. I love wild flowers - they have such a natural delicate beauty and a lovely feeling that man has not interfered with them in any way - they are as mother nature intended.

    Thanks for such beautiful photos.
