    Hi,

I was brought a dwarf lime tree a coupole of years ago. I never had a garden so it didnt do so well, but stayed barely alive!! anyway, i moved into a house with a garden and my dwarf lime has stayed outside since then. it has buds etc and seems to be thriving but all the info I have read on the net says i should bring it in now - anyone got any good ideas!

    Thanks in advance!

Lime? I assume we are talking citrus. [IMG]

    When did you move? trouble.
I doubt it would survive let alone do well outside all winter.
Limes are the more tropical end of the citrus plants I think and as such need winter protection.

Hello, mztrouble and welcome to GC.

If yours is indeed a citrus lime as opposed to the Lime Tree (Tilia) I think you will have a problem and it needs to be indoors / conservatory.

We have a citrus lime tree and have had for three years and we are having difficulty. They are not the easiest things to grow, even in our climate. I am having similar problems with red grapefruit.

thanks guys. Think it is probably a citrus lime (?) and as such will bring it in. Its always been a little difficult, but I was just confused as it seems to be thriving outside at the moment... oh well, have moved it inside, right next to the patio doors - if anyone has a better suggestion to put it elsewhere - let me know!
