Moving Azaleas

    When can I move a 3 ft Azalea. It has never flourished even with ericacious top ups so I want to move it into a large pot with the correct compost. The other large one I am moving to a new house. Is it better before or after flowering.

    the short answer would be after, Jean.

    No plant is happy to be disturbed when it's on the point of flowering, or doing it. After is much better, and it's likely to respond well to more acid conditions - good luck!!

    DEar Wiseoldowl,
    No info available I'm afraid. It is a sickly little thing, red and is in bud. I want to move it to see if I can give it a new lease of life.
