I went to the pub this evening and the landlord has just returned from Malta. the conversation went as follows.

LL: Ah! Richard, glad your here. I have drawn a picture of a fantastic tree I saw in Malta; what is it?
    Me: Describe it.
LL: It had flowers and fruits hanging down on strings.
Me: What colour were the flowers?
    LL: Blue/lilacy colour.
Me: What were the leaves like?
    LL: I don't know.
Me: Was it like a palm tree?
    LL: I don't know.
Me: What was the trunk like?
    LL: I don't know.
Me: was it hairy or bark or what?
    LL: I don't know.
Me: What colour were the fruits?
    LL: Green.
Me: What shape were the fruits?
    LL: I don't know.

Has anybody any idea what he has seen?

Based on that useful bit of answering, I'd say it was a plant...... Hope that helps ;) :D [IMG]

Did he show you his drawing, Rich?

I've wrecked my brain (no comments, please ! [IMG] thinking what he may have seen, assuming there may be something similar here, and I cannot come up with anything that resembles his description!

I also cannot think what he may have seen that had both flowers and fruit at the same time.

Do you think he may have seen a large established Passion Flower in flower and fruiting?
