Olive Tree in Scotland ?

    Like the competion idea, also as for Crete have been there a number of times, first class isle, so love the idea of a few olive trees from Crete.
    As I said will start mine off in pot and over time try and harden it off before giving it a go in the soil, with protection.

    Don't hold your breath for home grown olives but just striking cuttings is good fun. [​IMG]

    Stripped the blossom last year but let one olive develop - it grew to normal size and ripened. One tree is now covered with flower buds and on the other they are just starting to show.
    We'll keep them in the conservatory until June them move them outside until August and then they'll either come indoors or go in the polytunnel.
    No expectations of a gallon of oil but we may well get a handful of olives to put into brine.

    Get yer genuine Scottish olives ere ;)
