    hi all
Sar, well done. it's great to transform gardens isn't it?

with regard to Pro Gard's comment about the membrane - i thought you had to do it like that too. my hubby just put it down & it's poking up one place & receding the other :D i can't moan though cos at least it's done and we don't have the weeds now which is brilliant!

    keep us informed with pics.

    cheers

    Thanks, everyone [IMG]

My Mum has definitely been treated well and she's always happy to come back, even if it's just to play with my kitties!

It will certainly make a difference when coming in, I just need to get fixed so I can drive again! LOL

Of course I will keep you all updated with the progress [IMG] I find myself designing and redesigning the plans in anticipation!

Well done Sar - great job. As you say, once you have started you keep doing more planning.

    Hi :)

With the anticipation of my fences being installed on Monday, I thought I'd get myself back into the forum.

Since starting a new job (and having to simultaneously working the notice at my old job) I've not had a great deal of time to get stuck into the garden. We have managed to get the back cleared ready for the work and we dug out the ornamental Crab Apple tree. We were hoping to get a bit more done today, but the weather has decided to go against us.

Here is the garden after the clearing work we did the other week

and the new additions to the front of the house - at a snip of the price you see the ready planted ones for :)

I'll be back with more pictures as I upload them :)

New fencing...it will be like a whole new garden and should spur you on to do more work out there. Nothing ventured...nothing gained so keep it up.

    Steve...:)

    Thanks, everyone :)

The fence is now up and partially painted. Once again, my Mum came to lend a hand and we lifted most of the rocks! Since then we have broken them up a bit and localised them.

I have lots of photos of the progress which I will post once my new camera and my mac decide to cooperate and upload new photos

    Ooh, it's been a while since I updated :p

    Fence nearly finished

The garden minus the rocks! The majority of the rocks were divided between realcyclers for rockeries :D
    [IMG]

Making a start on painting the fences and destroying the awful patio
    [IMG]

Planning for the decking. We got the decking wood from TRIM (Timber Recycling In Manchester) for about £50!

    more to come....

Getting the base prepped for the decking and making use of the concrete sleepers :D

We are still working on the decking (due to the dreadful weather we've had!) but hopefully by the end of today, it'll be looking like this :thmb:

We're very pleased with how it's going so far :)
