Hi Maggzy. Sorry no one has answered. I thought someone else would so left it, and I bet everyone else thought the same.

    So -

Lobelia should be OK in the plastic.

Geranium - Do you mean true geranium or pelargonium type? The former is fully hardy. Pelargoniums are OK in a cold grrenhouse when larger but if yours are very young then I'd tend to hang on for a few weeks.

Petunia and impatiens should be OK.

The fuchsia has I take it rooted? Of course they have. It really depends on the variety how hardy they are but if you are pushed for space you should be OK now.

You don't say what kinds of seedlings you have so can't say.

I dont really have the room for growing vegetables, and i do like flowers and plants, have a rather large yard that i do a lot of container planting and have lots of hanging baskets, but i,m just a beginer, i spent a fortune last year buying garden ready plants so thats why i thought i would have a go at sowing seeds this year.

I think you are OK putting them under 'glass' in e couple of weeks maggzy. My sweet peas have been grown with no heating in the greenhouse from Christmas. I take it that the geraniums from seed are true geraniums not pelargoniums so pretty well the whole lot look hardy. If they have been indoors though you don't want to shock them so greenhouse them in April.

Coub, why should someone who wants to grow flowers, grow veg? I grow some salad stuff but don't want to grow bleeding cabbage myself. :D

    Hello Maggzy,
Welcome to GC. Am quite a new gardener myself so can't offer advice but just want to say i was interested to hear about the bubble wrap inside your plastic greenhouse. i have the same sort so i think i'll try the bubble wrap.

Does the sun get through as much with that?

    cheers

Borrowers. Bubble wrap is the accepted way of keeping your g.house warmer in winter and in summer it filters the strong sun so you don't get leaf scorch. It doesn't matter whether you have a plastic g.house or a Royal Doulton with hand painted periwinkles one. It works. Well done Maggzy.

You can get some special clips for aluminium framed g.houses. For plastic ones I suggest just some of that very sticky brown parcel tape. (Or chewing gum).
