Hi madflower.I have never seen it for sale,so I don't think you will be able to get any from garden centres. Most people tend to make their own in the Autumn, but then you will have to wait up to 18months before it would be ready...Sorry

Hi MD.Worth asking about tthe leaves.I used to go up to our local park to collect them.
Some of the councils I believe, will collect them up and deliver to your allotment if you have one, but they still need to be composted before use.

Hi md - leaf mould makes a good mulch, conditioner but there is not a lot of goodness in fallen leaves even well rotted. If you want a good soil conditioner with goodness, consider making your own compost.

I bought 3 bags of leaf mould last month. I must admit I was surprised to see it in the nursery but keep trying and you may be lucky,

Hi Madflower,I have used composted bark for soil improvement and mulching. It's light and crumbly and breaks down really fast. If you still want to make your own leaf mould, there's an additive you can use to double the speed of leaf breakdown. It's called "complete rot forleaves." There's also one for grass cuttings.these products are available from a company called wigglywigglers.co.uk.Iv'e just invested in a wormery from W/W,which will take care of all my kitchen waste that dosent go in the compost bin. Only trouble is the worms dont seem to know where home is and I have to retrieve the little ******s from the lid and the sump underneath to put them back where they belong. I'm sure they'll settle down soon. Anyhoo, do visit W/W they've got some fab stuff and are quick to deliver. C U soon Lou
