    Help - how can i get rid of leeches in my pond????

    Have you tried suspending fresh meat in the water and catching them when they cling on for supper? ;)

    "If the pond has a bad case of infestation, dangle a piece of raw liver overnight in the water. You might have to do this over several nights until you find no leeches attached to it in the morning. "

    Chemicals used include dimilin or Malathion

    Any reasonable pond aquatic place will know, plus there are loads of koi forums which I notice discuss such topics.

    How much damage do leeches do? There's thousands of the little suckers in one of my clients Koi ponds. I never thought they would seriously damage the fish. Certainly less than malathion!!! Might even provide a tasty snack.

    I have loads of leaches in my top fishless pond, but have never seen one in the bottom fish pond.
