I used to grow a cracking lettuce variety - Frisby ,very, very tightly packed loose leaved type.
Fantastic and easy to grow but it now seems to have totally disappeared from all the seed catalogues.
I have grown ones since which claim to be Frisby types but none have come close.
Does anyone know if it is available anywhere ?
    Cheers.

    Can't believe its been discontinued
Probably one of the Big Supermarkets suppliers have bought the rights to it 'cos it was a proper idiot proof superb variety.
    Thanks for your troubles anyway.
