Just realised that I misspelt horseradish in the thread title.

Is there any way of amending it to spare my blushes?

You should be able to simply edit the original post. At least that works on other forums I use.

If not, a kindly Moderator needs to do it for you.

    Terrier has the right idea.

Over 30 years ago I planted it in our garden and it became so invasive that I spent five years trying to get rid of it. As I was digging out the roots I planted them along the grass verge alongside the field between me and the village. Whenever we want horseradish all I have to do is walk up the road, wellies on and spade over shoulder, and dig what I want. If you aren't able to do this then luvgarlic's idea is best.

When I dig up some of the root I then plant the top bit somewhere else. It's quite funny the looks I get from people driving by :D . A few of the neighbours now dig the horseradish as well.
