    hello Nobby,
I've just put some in, I think you can grow it over winter. Seeds seem to be available quite widely, as to growing advice I can't really advise yet, other than watch out for slugs which seem to find it delicious!

Hi Nobby. Welcome to GC. I grew some several years ago when I grew veggies. Very nice. Very fast growing. 1 month to baby but edible and only 2 months to mature. If you want to eat it young (far nicer) plant close together, it will stand it, obviously if you want larger plants leave about 10" between them. I think there are 2 types, white vein and green vein but for growing I think no difference. Seeds are widely available in spring, but Claire is right, it should grow over winter, just slower. Nurseries probably carry them now or high street stores like Woolworths and Wilkos in spring which will be cheaper. Oh and yes Claire, slugs love it, as with all brassica so take precautions.
