Killed me a few years ago, I was lime plastering a medieval court house & the client came out of the garage with 2 GEORGIAN, never mind victorian, lantern cloches. He said he had to sell them to pay me. I couldn't take them in leiw of payment as the mortgage was due out that week

Also with this lantern cloche greenhouse will it hold well against windy storms? not really sure how heavy it would be? doesn't say on website.

They are pretty heavy, being steel & glass. You could always peg them to be sure though.

If you are looking to give birthday gift to your mother, then I think a beautiful handbag is a good option. So, you can be presented a beautiful handbag to your mom on her birthday. You know that it is very useful gift for a woman. They are available in different sizes, shapes, and colors. It is not more expensive gift.

Its a bit early (or late) for the birthday - but Christmas is coming.

If she's now well into gardening I'd go for a great big jar of hand cream. After a day in the garden she'll probably appreciate it.

    a nice (larger size) bonsai

if she is getting into gardening, this would be ideal ....

also find out where the local bonsai expert is, and let her have a meeting to learn more about how to look after it ... from what I have read, they are normally very helpful

£100 will get you a good one if you shop around, and it will be a focal point in the home aswell

RHS membership, a 'nice' book, subscription to the gardening magazine of her choice or, my personal favourite, garden vouchers which you can buy (and redeem) at most nurseries, garden centres and Homebase - for me, there's nothing nicer than walking around a garden centre with a pocket full of vouchers and just picking up whatever takes my fancy .... heaven.

It must be a female thing.
My OH buys me Garden Centre vouchers as a present and makes the suggestion to the kids also.

Any vouchers I receive go into the household Voucher pot (her handbag) and "WE" buy things SHE spots when SHE it at the Garden Centre.
