Does anyone know of any decent radish variety?, they all seem bland when compared with the ones Dad used to grow. I have tried several but not yet found any that are hot and crisp.
    TIA

I grow 'French Breakfast'. They don't blow your head off, but they are very tasty.

Pick them whilst they are young and succulent - don't let them get big and woody or they will be bland and horrible.

I also have grown French Breakfast, and although crisp, they dont have much 'bite', thats why I am trying the mixed variety to see if there are any stronger ones in there :hehe:

Try black spanish, size of a parsnip with black skin that needs peeling. But like andrewh says, cant go too far wrong with french breakfast.
