I've recently aquired a larger plot at the fiance's parents garden and will be double digging this weekend (weather permitting [IMG] ). I have been reading around the subject and am struggling to find anything to grow over the winter months. I'm currently growing broccoli, lettuce, salad onion and carrots in a seed tray in a zip up greenhouse which are all doing well (i'll be transplanting these to my veg patch). I've also got some raddish in a plug tray outside which are growing rapidly! I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what else i could grow now and in the next few months to keep me busy! Also any tips you have would be appreciated! :D

Andy, apart from winter cabbage, spring cabbage, sprouts, calabrese and "All The Year Round" cauliflowers you can sow or plant (in September)garlic and broad beans ( something like Aquadulce or Bunyards Exhibition). Between now and then you could sow some Early Onward peas which will give you a crop in the Autumn. And of course your shallots should be planted (traditionally) on the shortest day which I think is the 21st Dec. You should also sow you onion seeds on Boximg Day. David.
