First Tasty Lettuce!

    I am really pleased as the lettuce I sowed a while ago is really growing well and I ate my first home grown salad this evening picked fresh from the garden, so tasty and rewarding! I am looking forward to the tomatoes in a couple of months too!

    Its true, you simply cannot beat the taste.

    Well done! [​IMG] The lettuce I sowed at the end of March is still too small to see with the naked eye. I suppose that I shall have to sow some more :rolleyes:

    I know its a good feeling isn't it.
    I have given up growing individual lettuces. Instaed I grow a mix of different lettuce, spinach, rocket etc as a mixed leaf row and pic young and tender. Absolutely gorgeous as salad or on sandwiches with virtually anything! [​IMG]
