    Hi [IMG]

We planted some broad beans last November (aquadulce something or other) which are now growing nicely and smothered with flowers but.. when the flowers drop there dont seem to be any broad beans, just bare stalks left behind.

I assume they arent being pollinated? is there anything I can do?

Try feeding the plants with a "Tomoatoe" type liquid fertilizer.

Hi kay. The flowers are obviously not setting, this could be because of the dry weather. Make sure that they are kept moist. As for the pollination, that shouldn`t be a problem because the insects are all active. David.

The first flowers to form dont always set very well, they will start at some point and then its best to pinch the head out, it consentrates growth to the beans and stops the blackfly.

Thanks all, I think I found a teeny weeny bean on one of them today, after a splish of tomato food, so I dont know whether that did the trick. Hopefully all is not lost [IMG] I'll start pincing the tops out now
