Oh so do I!!!!!! I could grow all the things that I can't grow here because of the blasted sea gales [IMG] [IMG] I could keep us in veg all year round [IMG] I've always wanted a shed made out of old doors and random bits of wood - like my Grandad had....tea out of a flask....plant swapping....sigh....Fingers are well and truly crossed [IMG]

Windy, I am happy for you. the moment I was told I could have an allotment I was making plans and drawing and mapping the plot out on paper. I keep a daily account of what I do.I also spend sooooooooo much time on there, making coffee and tea for the fellas, having a chat and planting.
    Good luck to you.

    Windy.
While I hope it comes off can I just say that as an ex councillor now is the time to talk to your elected members to get their help and support. In some parts of the country there are elections in May and these are issues that they can be seen to support to get votes. Also they will have to vote on the application to create the allotment in the first place.Elected members e mail addresses are usualy available from the council and if a few if the people who are applying wizz of a few emails you could be supprised at the support you can get.

Our allotments in rotherham have been there for about 30 years so I am told.
Yesterday the final plot was taken and that is the first time that has happened.
    Its definetly getting more popular.
