Do you have them in a propagator g-g? If not, I would sow some more and stick them in the airing cupboard near the boiler. Check them every day and as soon as the first one germinates put them on a sunny windowsill.

    Hi Gandy,

I planted chilli pepper seeds on 14th Feb, and they only started to show growth yesterday.

Don't give up hope yet !

I find peppers notoriously slow to germinate
They will come quicker in the dark and then to a sunny windowsill immediately they show as Blackthorn says

    Hi Gandy.

I sowed some pepper seeds a month ago and left them covered on my window sill for three weeks and nothing happened so I rewatered them and put them in the airing cupboard for a couple days. When I checked them there were seeds germinating all over the place and they are now ready for pricking out. If you have a dark warm place you could give it a go.

PS Does the presence of light affect the germination?

:D Gandy! My peppers (capsicums) haven't germinated at all in the greenhouse. I think I'll try the airing cupboard too, but will try not to fall up the stairs :D
