I bought a couple of garden?pearl which are basket tomatoes. And my husband got me some Tigerella the other day, which will be a bit different from the usual gardener's delight I put in.

I've got my tumbling toms in their hanging baskets in the shed, ready to go out, but it's been so windy, and also the blackbirds will probably nick the moss that I've lined the baskets with, so I'll wait a little bit longer...

I am going to have to plant toms outside in containers. I must have about 20 or so extra this year.

I've got my Tumblers in pots in the garden and the first trusses are just showing fruits. It's been a good Spring for them. The winds a bit of a problem.

Moneymaker are doing well outside, putting on a lot of new growth.

Gardeners delight seedlings growing at quite a rate too.

Lynne I did the same thing last year. I had never grown tomatoes before,so planted 2 packets of seeds. Ended up with so many that i gave them away to everyone i knew (neighbours, workmates, friends, family). They were the container type tomato that not a lot of people had tried before. Got loads of good feed back from everyone, and a few have now got the growing bug.

Sun Gold (yellow) is setting fruit and Gardener's Delight are in flower. Not growing Moneymaker this year but have some Tumbling Tom (yellow) in a hanging basket. Also got some Red Skin sweet peppers that are just coming into bud.

The mystery seeds taken from an unknown Gardener's Delight type that 'apeared' in a garden last year have done well. From a germination test of 24 seeds I got 18 plants, six have been planted outside in bags of compost and I've still to find a home for the rest.
