Are there any offers on fruit trees at the moment? I missed out on the Aldi offer, they sold out within a day at our local branch (no pun intended). I want to plant some apple trees so the little un can see where apples come from and changing of seasons etc when shes older. Was told apples would be best as plums attract wasps and birds pinch your cherries.

My suggestion would be to go to your local garden centre and see if they have any old stock they are prepared to sell off cheap. David.

    Hi Kasabian

I bought a couple of fruit trees that I think were reasonably priced they were either £5.99 or £6.99 each I bought a peach and a cherry tree however they also had apple, pear, plum,I bought them from Wilkinsons where everything to do with gardens seems really well priced it's not like Aldi where they seem to have a very limited stock Wilkinsons always seems to have good stock numbers. I didn't have time to plant them immediately so put them in the greenhouse for about a week and in no time they were covered in buds so fingers crossed in a few years I'll have an orchard!!

PS Your daughter is gorgeous - bet she takes after her Dad !!

    Only kidding Kasabian

    Regards

    David

Try Bakker.com - They're not that cheap but they have three varieties on one tree is space is at a premium

Try the supermarket, in Morrisons this morning they had apple trees "Lord Lambourne" on sale for £4.99. Bare root but I reckon you can still just about get away with that.
