I have been told two different things regarding sowing pumpkin seeds.

    1. Sow them between Jan-March
    2. Leave them until Mid April-May for sowing.

    Which is best?

    Thanks

I have just put the seeds in pots. now is the best time. Once they are germinated I put them in the greenhouse.

I planted my parsnips direct into the ground two weeks ago, but they are covered by fleece and glass cloche to keep them warm.
If the soil is not warm enough, they won't germinate. So as we are heading into a cold snap, it might be wise to wait a couple of weeks before sowing, but you can prepare the ground by warming it.

As for pumpkins, start them off in pots at end of april.

    Thanks Sally,

I will warm the soil up this week and plant next weekend.

Any tips when they are growing?
