    Hi,
I have these creeping purple flowers growing on a few walls in my garden.
They seem to spread easily and grow even in the smallest hole in the stones.

I've done a bit of searching and the only thing I could find that was close was a type of Phlox.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Hello Paul and welcome to GC.

I believe you have Campanula poscharskyana (Serbian Bellflower) which is a lovely lovely plant.

Thanks Victoria. That was really quick and helpful.
I've double checked on Google images and other pictures there look exactly the same.
    Much appreciated. :)

The chap who introduced it to Britain. one William Ingwerson, said that it was the one plant he really regretted bringing in. It can be a terrible thug.

I think I'd rather have it Palustris than Oenothera speciosa 'Rosea' which I brought from the UK to here as it has taken over and I can't eradicate it as the roots seem to go to Australia. It and the Oxalis pes-caprae, both of which I sent to Pete and they have probably populated Kent by now ... :flag:
