I used to use the ORIGINAL SBK, but the stuff which is available now seems to a have a key constituent missing (it was probably banned). Anyway, it's not half as good as it was. I mostly use glyphosate now.

By the by, I used glyphosate and the cane technique plus the untangle, stick in bad and spray technique and its working!! Bindweed is still growing, but loads less and its much more manageable!! Thanks!

I've battled this stuff for 2 years now.
Find some in one of my raised beds t'other day :(

I wouldn't mind but as somebody mentioned earlier, my neighbour is a right lazy sod and his back garden is an absolute state. Thorns, nettles, bindweed he's got the lot!!!

    Hi MzTrouble,

I have new garden with bindweed creeping in from next door, and have had to avoid weedkillers to avoid poisoning the soil and damaging my new baby plants. I'm finding that persistence is really making a difference - every evening (in the morning too if I have time) I spot the shoots, dig deep and drag up the fleshy roots. When I started I was pulling up great multiple handful lumps of roots, now the roots seems to be much smaller and weaker, and fewer shoots, every other day at the most. Definite progress. I also find it a form of stress relief to pull them up and quite satisfying!
