My daughter gave me a bag of seed potatoes very late as she had room for only a few. I planted them for her and in the last few days they have come up, now about 3'' tall.
What are their chances of producing a crop in time? I don't know what kind they were, and they're in a shady place [Only bit of space left!]

I havent a clue what we planted, but we got some nice small spuds up today - have left the rest in to grow for a bit. Mine are out of the sun most of the day and seem to do brilliantly Liz.

When I took on my allotment last year in May, one of the old boys gave me red seed potatoes in late July to plant  I followed his advice and had lovely spuds in October/November :D
