    hi i;m a new member joined today i think this is a fantastic site.i am very much a novice to computers and gardening anyway my question is what do i do with my strawberry runners ,i have potted them up and now the stems are about 2 inches tall, what now can anybody please help.

    Hi and welcome! I hope your pretty fairy doesn't mind muddy hands....
    Depends if you want to grow more strawberries. I f you don't give the plants to someone else.
    If you want more, then leave the runners attached for awhile and make a new row so that you know which are the new plants and which are the old. Next year you can choose some more runners, then you will have 3 rows. After that dispose of the oldest plants each year after fruiting to prevent viruses etc from becoming established.
    I put my runners straight into the soil in their new position . [​IMG]

    im sure i saw you on a tv program last week or the week before ? have you ever had a film crew in ? as that looks so familiar ? ? ?
