    Hi all,

I laid a new lawn last week (7 days ago)
The grass is starting to get pretty long and I am watering it every day.
My question is how soon can I walk on it and cut it? It hasn't rooted yet.

    Regards
    Geordie.

Hi geordie I am no where nere an expert but I use to work as a manager building new houses with newly layed lawns . as you can imagine the lawn would be layed 2 to 3 weeks prior to occupation and maybe another week before being cut . you do need to stop it drying or it will shrink at the edges maybe watering every 3rd day would be fine after a week - try lifting the turf to see if its knitting down to the ground Personaly I would leave it 2 -3 weeks
