    Hi,

We have just had an offer accepted on a terraced house currently with a sloping bark chipped garden with a concrete path thru the middle (48').

Vox Populi: Should we make the garden/lawn flat (perhaps terracing the lawn) or should we leave it with a slope (approx 10 degress me thinks).

I would argue that a sloping lawn is no good to man nor beast as you can't put a table or BBQ on it and it does not lend itself to children playing on it. What would help my argument with S.W.M.B.O is that a level lawn would add £££ to the value of the property.

    Please, I welcome your opinion.

    Rob

I also have a sloping back garden and while I can't tell you exactly how much value you would add if you evened it out I CAN tell you that (speaking personally) it would be a shame not to be able to sit out in it in summer. My advice: get it done and enjoy the great outdoors...when weather permits that is.
