Old bath!

HiI have inherited an old bath from last tenant of my allotment ,any ideas as to what I can use it for other than collecting water?I have thought of a wildlife pond but dont fancy digging the hole to sink it in.Would there be enough drainage to grow carrots and spring onions in there?

 

As I so love flowers would fill with flowers or a feature must give this some thought.

 

You don't have to sink it far netty. We just put one in and half sank it then banked up round the sides and put a few rocks on (not really a rockery) for flowers and shrubs (if it's on an allotment how about herbs?) then I sealed the outlets with silicon and filled it with peat to use as a bog garden.

 

Thanks for the replys..the allotment I have just taken on is in a bad state and the soil is very clay so using it for salad crops is a good idea as seeing crops growing will spur me on to dig my plot.I also like the idea of using it for wildlife.Also inherited with the plot a small belfast sink. The council with their wisdom rotovated the plot churning up not only the soil but wooden planks,perrenial weeds,iron sheeting,brambles you name it I've got it :( but have been waiting for a plot for a long time so going to give it my all.

 

Take it down the scra p yard, worth a few �£�£ at the moment, scra p is going at �£120 a ton!
