I recently bought a galvanised, old fashioned looking watering can. When we tried it we found it to be hopeless...the rose is useless. I'm going to drill some holes in the bottom and fill it with flowers in the spring. I've seen old wellies planted up by a neighbour..and actually they looked great.Anybody else got any "different" ideas?

Yes. Send it to me. I'll pay postage. Then I can drill some holes in the bottom and fill it with flowers. [IMG] Seriously, great idea. I do it with galvanised wheelbarrows. They look great. :D

We had a couple of large stone lions at work, both on stone plinths. when we sold the lions, the buyer decided they didnt want to pay extra for the bases, meaning we were left with them.

These bases are hollow, no top, or bottom, stone, and about 4' by 2'. With no other ideas for them, we've used them as a pair of raised beds, planted up with bulbs for spring [IMG] If they look good next year, I'll take some pics

Yes. Let's have a picture Del.

The intriguing question is of course 'We had a couple of large stone lions at work'. The mind boggles as to your occupation. :D :D

I'm a Garden Centre manager [IMG] , well, a Garden centre department of a home and leisure store anyway. They were a pair of Henri Studios grand lions, and bloomin heavy they were too!

Originally they were very pricey, yet now the lions have gone, they've been dropped heavily in price. At the moment i'm hoping not to sell them though, at least until I've seen the bulbs flower.

I've just planted up a tiny little kids wheelbarrow, it was mine when I was about 3, when it starts to grow I'll get a picture of it.
