Hi all, at the beginning of the year I read a few topics on here about planting potato's in pots, and I thought I would give it a try, I got some seed potato's and put one in each 12ins x 12ins pots and added soil as they grew. They have shot up and are now about 18ins above the pots. I put in 5 main crop and 5 lates. The thing I need to no how to tell when are they ready to be tipped out and do I cut off any of the greenary to make them produce more?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Trevor

You would have got more spuds by growing them in dustbins as they would have more chance to grow up and be earthed up. People also grow them in empty compost bags etc
