I have order loads and loads of seed and am very excited about growing my own veg.

The allotment is comming on nicely and will have about 4 beds ready for planting come March. 2 x 4' x 20' and 2 x 4' x 28' roughly.

am going to dig out my seed trays and propogators from the shed ( had them years when I had my previous gardening fit of enthusium), going to wash them all get them ready for my seeds when they arive.

I am properly behind all you guru gardeners, with regard to raising seed. but roughtly how long with the seeds take before they are ready to plant out on my wonderfull allotment?

    Hi fancy,

I think some of the seeds can be sown outside but will have to wait till they arrive and read the packets.

I am cultavating my allotment at the mo and hopefully is should be all systems go.

Do not panic. Wait until the soil is warm and moist wether this is March, April or even May, it will all catch up in the end. David.

You can think about sowing seeds in propagators if you have them - otherwise it is far too cold to sow outside. Most seeds now will just go to mush instead of germinating. Now is the shopping time.

(You could buy your early tatties and start chitting them)
