    just to let you all know even with >100mph winds mums garden minus a few plant pots has survived

    I agree with Marley an outstanding effort Barra and so much hard work done but you have been rewarded with a good looking garden and I dare bet you and your mum are really pleased!Hel.xxx.

    As i promised here is some more pictures of my Mums garden on Barra (Western Isles) taken on the 1st May
    This is the first year of planting tulips all the shrubs minus Acuba seemed to have survived another h**** winter

    Wow looks fab, you've certainly put in some hard graft! :-) Tulips look great, I'm kicking myself for not bringing some back from Amsterdam last month.

    Has made me very appreciative of my very sheltered south facing garden!!!
