Jasminum Officinale

Hi,

I planted Jasminum Officinale on a south facing wall last April.It has grown well in its first year but over the winter has been damaged quite badly by frost.Is there anything I can do as a remedy?

 

Either cut out the dead and damaged parts and leave it to grow some new growth or prune as before and dig it up and move it to a more suitable place in the garden., maybe somewhere where it will be a bit more sheltered incase it happens again next winter. I would just prune out the dead and damaged parts and give a good feed in April and hope for the best.

Thanks Lisa,

I will give this a try and keep my fingers crossed.I put the plant in this particular position in the hope it would up grow up towards my daughters bedroom window.Maybe next winter I shall put some flleece around it.
