Nathan ...will you swop for perennial sweetpeas purple colour mainly but had got other colors last 3 year and just mixed in..
I had the Eccremocarpus for 20 odd years,but moved all the climbers some years ago and as if I didn't know, they don't like being moved, even as tiny seedlings.. and not had it since..and think my seeds are too old now.. so if you have any spare , would love some again..thank you

dalbuie, I think Nathan may have missed your question, so I hope you dont mind if I butt in.
They can take a few deg of frost, so if your not too exposed they should be OK. Usually flower first year from sowing, if sown early undercover, so its worth a try.

 

Dalbuie depends where you are,when you get the seeds... put 4-5 seeds in one little compartment, of say 12 to a half tray,as they don't like root disturbance at all, they are quite hardy,but must be kept fairly dry,on a south facing wall,and once established, you perhaps cover the root with hessian or straw and put them in a big pot, you could take in for 1st winter,just overwinter the root. Have a go as Pete said.
