I am just completing the digging and weeding of my tunnel. Its a commercial tunnel my wife treated me to. I wondered if there was a way of planning which veg go where. has anyone got a layout plan.

Kind of difficult to advise you kenco without an idea of the size and orientation of your polytunnel.
As a rule of thumb you should do your planting so that the taller plants cast the minimum shade on the lower growing ones. Cucumbers should be on the shadier side. Fill in gaps with small sowings of quick growing crops like radish and spring onion. Try to plan ahead so that when one crop is finished you've got something to go in in it's place

Temperature control is going to be your big problem unless you have a tunnel with adequate ventilation you will need to be careful of the wide fluctuations the summer can bring,I grow everything in containers because the stuff I grow I like a drier atmosphere.

Hi Walnut, yes I think that is going to be a major problem as it got up over 100 last year.I take note of your suggestion of pots or buckets, I can move them outside if needed.

Yep Im starting to get into the swing of planting out my poly tunnel. I just got to remember how tall things are going to grow and not to shade the wrong plants but give shade to the right ones. the beans are looking good after and early start in the house. Onions and garlic together, i suppose that wont do much harm. Now sweet corn sown today in house, two types, should I keep them well apart to stop cross polination ???
