[IMG] Lots of us have Magnolias so lets have a look at yours.... ! [IMG]

[IMG] It seems whenever my Magnolia starts to open we have a change for the worse in the weather each year... This was yesterday, not sure how it will look after this spell of bad weather... [IMG]

[IMG] Here are a selection I have taken over the pas week.. The weather has certainly taken it's toll again this year.. All the frosts, winds, rain, snow & sunshine have it confused I think.. So many of the petals are brown & allot of buds dropped off in the bad weather... :(

[IMG] None the less it has still given us a good show.... [IMG]

This was on a bad day.... [IMG]

Maybe next year we will be luckier... It has to be because it seems to flower just a bit earlier than other peoples around here for some reason..!!

This was my magnolia the other day. I reckon that cold weather that delays the buds opening, makes them pinker when they eventually do open, as they are doing now.

[IMG] I reckon you could be right there Nik.. Mine used to be allot pinker when I first had it, but over the years it has started to flower earlier & not anywhere near so pink... [IMG] This I know is all down to the fact that the council put a street lamp on the other side of the wall not far from my tree, so it has 24hrs of light a day now..!!! [IMG] I don't think that is good for it in the long run either..!!!!
